A Royal Garuda awarded by HM the late King to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya was hoisted to a place of honor on the facility’s main building.
Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, chairman of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services PLC, joined board members and employees at the ceremony to install the royally bestowed emblem atop Building A on Aug. 22.
The “Phra Khrut” Garuda is considered to be a symbolic sign representing the King. It is shown in the emblem of the king, state, dynasty, and royal monarchy. Since the Reign of King Rama V these Phra Krut has been issued to those who have loyally served the King of Thailand.
They are awarded to businesses that have shown exceptional service and commitment to the economic and social development of the nation, and are operating with integrity and honesty.
BHP’s Garuda is 4.5 meters tall and 5 meters wide and weights 700 kilograms.
