Cabinet to look at private sector’s economic suggestions

BANGKOK, 18 June 2012  – The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking has made 16 economic suggestions to be submitted to the Cabinet during the coming mobile meeting on 19 June 2012 in Chon Buri province.

On 18 June, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra chaired a meeting of the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking to find solutions to local economic problems. The meeting resolved to approve 16 economic suggestions voiced by the private sector, plus three more issues to be forwarded to the Cabinet for consideration this week.

The 16 suggestions can be summed up into five issues, including the Map Ta Phut industrial zone in Rayong province, development of logistics and transport networking, trade and investment promotion, water resource management and promotion of tourism and service.
