CHANTHABURI, 26 May 2014 – Owners of shops, convenience stores, and nightclubs in Chanthaburi Province have provided full cooperation with the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)’s policy of a nationwide curfew.
Many Chanthaburi locals agree that having military intervention is the right solution to end the political crisis. Therefore, most of them were willing to comply with the Army’s curfew from 10pm to 5 am and have continued to live normally without any problems. However, when the clock ticks at 10pm, everything closes down.
Last night, officers from the Border Protection Command at the Chantaburi-Trat border along with military and police officers have staged a patrol across several checkpoints in the province.
Meanwhile, a local seller at the Namphu market added she is not afraid with the coup because there has been no violence so far and it is a stepping stone to unite people across the nation together.
