CHONBURI, 17 Oct 2013 Chonburi locals showed interests in Thailand 2020 Roadshow, an exhibition organized by the government to explain its 2.2 trillion baht infrastructure overhauling projects. 

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na Ranong together with Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt on Wednesday presided over the event’s opening ceremony at Peach Convention Center in Royal Cliff Beach Pattaya in the Province.

Mr. Kittiratt, on this occasion, gave a speech on government projects to move the country’s economy forward, followed by a talk by Mr. Chadchart on integrated transport systems that will equally bring prosperity to all parts of the country.

Thailand 2020 roadshow offers multimedia information on the Government’s 2.2 trillion baht infrastructure development projects, particularly in the logistic segments. The roadshow highlights necessary investments and their benefits that locals would receive within the next 7 years.

The event also portrays future transportation networks in Thailand as well as information on the planned investment on the eastern transportation system. The information is expected to support locals in their planning of life and careers in the future.

The event is concluding today, October 17th. Organizers estimate the 3-day roadshow to attract 30,000 visitors daily.
