Commerce Ministry boosts economy of Thailand’s southern provinces

BANGKOK, 11 July 2012  – The Ministry of Commerce has hosted the “Economic Development 2012” program for 5 provinces in southern Thailand

Ministry of Commerce Deputy Permanent Secretary Boonnaris Suwannapool has presided over the economic development program 2012 for Thailand’s 5 southern provinces, at BP Samila Beach Hotel & Resort in Songkla province. The program is aimed at helping lift the economy of Songkla, Satun, Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat provinces by emphasizing on self-reliance to compete in the international market, as well as enhancing and developing products’ quality and diversity to meet market demand.

The program is also hoped to promote the provinces’ images, products, and services in order to help stabilize and enhance the well-being of the people in line with the government’s policy

In addition, there was a dialogue on the topic of “Marketing Strategy, ASEAN opportunity” as well.
