BANGKOK, 12 January 2014 The Ministry of Commerce has confirmed the anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) will open traffic for delivery vehicles and expressed confidence that there will be no shortage of products during the group’s mass rallies starting this 13 January.

Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade Somchart Soithong said no hoarding had been reported to the ministry so far. The official assured that department stores had enough stock for customers for one month and most consumers still bought a normal amount of products.

The PDRC promised that it would facilitate goods delivery and allow its vehicles to run as normal. The director-general stressed that the general public should not hoard goods since it might result in a price increase.
