BANGKOK, 9 October 2014 The Ministry of Commerce is planning to boost international trade and investments in Thailand within 3 months. The accelerated effort is said to pave the way for the smooth transition into the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) next year.
Commerce Minister General Chatchai Sarikalya said, following the government’s policy, the plan is focused on removing trade obstacles by amending related laws and maintaining commodity prices. It will also be considered a present at the year’s end for Thai consumers.
The Ministry of Commerce is currently in the process of drafting a stimulus plan for an export sector. Heads of the commercial affairs offices at Thai embassies across the globe will be invited to a meeting to share their views on the market demand in their respective countries.
