BANGKOK, 30 June 2014,- The Commerce Ministry is calling a meeting today to finalize the 2015 budget plan, with focuses on economic improvement policies.
According to the Ministry of Commerce Spokesperson Boonyarit Kallayanamit, the ministry’s new Permanent Secretary, Chutima Booyaprapat, said the budget plan, which should have been submitted to the Budget Bureau last week, would be completed within a couple of days.
The Ministry of Commerce’s budget would conform to the National Council for Peace and Order’s policies, which emphasize on moving the nation’s economy forward, said the spokesperson.
The ministry is currently contemplating the following projects: holding product exhibition events to stimulate exports, organizing commodity products sales events to ease consumers’ burden, and establishing measures to encourage SME and OTOP business operators.
Mr. Boonyarit said the Commerce Ministry would trim down excessive expenses on such activities as overseas field trips or other projects that do not contribute to the nation’s economic improvement.
