BANGKOK, 31 October 2011 – More than 10 billion THB is estimated as the damage cost in business and agricultural sectors caused by flooding in Nakhon Sawan.
Nakhon Sawan Governor Chairot Meedaeng said that the flood situation in Nakhon Sawan started to be resolved after the the big cleaning day, attended by more than 3,000 local residents was held two days ago to clean up 4 zones.
Two major areas which are greatly damaged by the floods are firstly, the agricultural farmlands of 900,000 rai which cost around 4.5 billion THB and the economic district in the city which will take much time in restoring the damge cost around 4.5 billion THB.
Combining the flooded roads and temples, the total damage cost is approximately 10 billion THB. Moreover, all people are invited to visit and buy low-priced products to decorate theor houses at “‘Cooperation between Government and Citizen Against Flooding’ Fair” organized by the Nakhon Sawan provincial administration.
