BANGKOK, 19 February 2013 The Cabinet has agreed to extend the diesel excise tax reduction period for one more month or until 31 March 2013.
On 19 February 2013 at Government House, the cabinet meeting approved the Finance Ministry’s proposal to lengthen the excise tax reduction period for diesel for one month. The tax decrease is applicable to diesel products which have sulfur of less than 0.005%. The oil is subject to a tax rate of 0.005 baht per liter.
Diesel with fatty acid methyl ester of more than 4% will also be taxed at 0.005 baht a liter for one more month, from 1-31 March 2013.
