BANGKOK, 30 May 2013 The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is helping Thai SMEs to penetrate ASEAN market, as it provides an opportunity for the Thai entrepreneurs to meet with ASEAN members’ commercial attaches.

Speaking after presiding over a seminar aimed at helping Thai SMEs, Deputy Director General of the DITP Ampawan Pichalai said the department has set up Thai SMEs Development center to help educate the Thai entrepreneurs regarding the integration of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).

The seminar gave an opportunity to Thai entrepreneurs to discuss insight information regarding conducting businesses in each country. Commercial attaches from the 9 ASEAN nations were there to support Thai SMEs, giving them information on market trends, marketing strategies, problem solving, and business development, in order enable Thai entrepreneurs to efficiently compete with their rivals when the AEC is finally formed.
