BANGKOK, 30 April 2013 The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) will organize the THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2013 event during May 22-26 to promote the food industry of Thailand.
Under the government’s initiative of “Thai Kitchen to the World”, DITP Deputy Director-General Suwipan Thisyamondol said that the department would cooperate with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and world-class German event organizer Koelnmesse in organizing the THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2013.
The event will be held during 22-26 May 2013 at Challenger Halls 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani with an aim to showcase unique and quality food products as well as food-related technologies. Visitors will be able to shop for food items from leading food entrepreneurs, both Thai and international.
During the event, a parallel meeting of Thai commercial envoys from across the globe will be held to evaluate the Thai export situation. The DITP deputy director-general affirmed that the total export growth target of 8-9% would still be maintained, with the food export growth of at least 10%.
