Hospitality and events-management students at Dusit Thani College will get internships and possibly jobs upon graduation under an agreement signed with the Pirachburi Group.
College Director Sakda Kanjanawanawan and Adithep Kampangseree, head of the school’s MICE and Events Management Department, signed the agreement with Wuthichai Suppermpong, managing director of About Food Co., Feb. 24.
The partnership will help Dusit Thani College enhance its curriculum for students looking to enter the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions industry by interning at Pirachburi’s various MICE, services, and real estate companies.
Under the agreement, select interns will be offered employment at a group company upon graduation.
Wuthichai said the group partnered with Dusit Thani due to its good reputation in domestic sciences, cooking, bakery, general vocational training and related subjects.
Together the two organizations can improve the level of MICE industry workers in Thailand, he said.
