BANGKOK, 10 September 2014 – The permanent-secretary for Ministry of Energy (MOE) Areepong Phuchaum has affirmed that natural gas vehicle (NGV) users in the northeast of Thailand will not be affected by the maintenance occurring at the Sin Phu Hom natural gas field.
The Sinphuhorm natural gas field, located on the Khorat plateau in Udon Thani province, is slated to be closed for maintenance for five days from September 8-12. Such maintenance will disrupts natural gas distribution to 37 NGV gas stations in 12 northeastern provinces. However, Mr Areepong has confirmed that natural gas has already been transported from the central part to keep in reserve for users in the area.
