BANGKOK, 29 Nov 2013 The Government Housing Bank (GHB) and the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) have announced temporary closure of their branches located near demonstration sites today.
The affected branches are those located in the Government Complex in Chaeng Wattana area and Ratchadamnoen Road. GHB officials said that the closure is unavoidable as the demonstrations cause significant inconvenience to both its employees and customers. Nonetheless, the GHB informed that customers can still do their transactions in the nearby Big C Chaeng Wattana branch, Boonsiri branch, Makro Jaransanitwong branch, as well as at the GHB headquarter on Rama 9 Raod.
The officials also mentioned that the Boonsiri branch, which was reopened on Thursday after a brief shutdown due to the demonstration, is now ready to take on additional customers.
The bank’s public relations call center at 02-645-9000 is available for public inquiries.
Meanwhile, the BAAC has also announced a temporary closure of its Nang Lerng branch until December 3rd due to the same reason. Its customers are invited to use its branches in Bang Khen area and on Sutthisan Winitchai Road, as well at its headquarter in Bangkhen District.
