Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has commended the work of the “One Stop Service Center for Business” which claims to have helped eliminate barriers in doing business and chances for bribery and corruption by government officials.
Terming the success as a new face of government service, the Prime Minister said the center allows entrepreneurs and investors to have easier access to information and facilities necessary for their businesses through diversified channels.
One of the channels is the investment service center where investors can seek consultations from representatives of more than twenty government units, including those related to renewal of visa and work permits.
Regional Investment and Economic Centers have also been established in Chiang Mai in the North, Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen in the Northeast, Chonburi in the central region, and Songkla and Surat Thani in the South. Such centers are authorized to consider investment applications and approve them in an effort to cut bureaucratic red tape and unnecessary paperwork.
