BANGKOK, 2 September 2014  – The Department of Industrial Works has launched a project to accommodate investment in the provinces with the potential to grow substantially in terms of industry.

Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works Sakda Phankla said the provinces included Kanchanaburi, Phetburi and Suphan Buri. The project was aimed at bringing industrial development to other provinces apart from Bangkok and the vicinity. The selected provinces were ready for industrial development due to their infrastructure, public utility, telecommunication and logistics. They also had large markets for products, the official said.

The project also seeks to prevent the problems caused by industrial expansion such as congested population and pollution.
