BANGKOK, 14 November 2013 Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong has assured the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce that the government will do its best to maintain political stability in Thailand.
The Finance Minister has met with an executive team from the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce to discuss the current political situation and various cooperation projects.
Minister Kittiratt said the executives deemed the political protests very normal in a democratic country and understood the situation. He also affirmed to them that the government would closely monitor all protests and would not let the political uncertainty ruin the country’s economy.
Meanwhile, Mr. Stanley Kang, Chairman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand, told Minister Kittiratt that foreign investors were still confident in the Thai economy, while expressing belief that the government and the protesters would be able to reach an agreement soon.
