NARATHIWAT, 15 July 2015 -The Governor of Narathiwat, Mr. Nattapong Sirichana called a meeting of provincial authorities as well as local investors and entrepreneurs to discuss progress of the establishment of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the province.
The meeting was held at Narathiwat Chamber of Commerce in Su-ngai Golok District, where a “Free Zone or Outlet” is to be located. The meeting however was unable to reach a consensus on the best location in Su-ngai Kolok to set up the Free Zone. Mr.Nattapong said that the meeting agreed to acquire good consultancy from business and investment experts for use in their decision making.
The meeting also considered investment strategies for the government which would also bring highest benefits to local economy and tourism.
