Industry Minister Uttama Savanayana visited a community in Chonburi province last week as part of his ministry’s Creative Industry Village (CIV) campaign which raises the production capacity of local entrepreneurs.
Industry Minister Uttama Savanayana visited Takiantia community in Banglamung to follow up on the campaign. The village is among 160 communities selected from 76 provinces.
In the campaign, participating villages are encouraged to use their local identity to creatively produce signature products while developing an accompanying tourism plan to draw visitors to the area. The program is in line with the government’s Thailand 4.0 model.
The entrepreneurs in Takiantia community, in particular, have used the lifestyle of the villagers to attract customers, introducing a local cycling route where cyclists can observe the production of coconut oil and the use of wasps as natural pesticide agents.
The Baan Roi Sao museum is one of many famous destinations on this route.
