BANGKOK, 2 June 2017 – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has reviewed the 11th National Economic and Social Development Plan and planned to finish the 2014 national budget plan mid June.
Deputy spokespersons of army Col.Winthai Suwaree and Col.Sirichan Ngathing on Monday announced the results of the meeting between the NCPO on economic and relevant issues. They said the National Economic and Social Development Board had submitted its budget plan and the 11th National Economic and Social Development Plan to the council for consideration. NCPO head Gen.Prayuth Chan-ocha who chaired the meeting suggested the board adjust the plan to cover the policy promoting happiness in the society.
Within these two weeks, the council expects to complete the 2014 government appropriation and push for the projects which needs approval from the Cabinet.
Gen.Prayuth said during the meeting that the reconciliation atmosphere in the country had started to improve but whether it would become better depended on the Reconciliation Centers for Reforms. The NCPO chief stated further that what satisfied him the most at present was that there were no fights between people of different opinion.
