Nong Plalai residents learned to make and package chili paste to earn extra income.
Mayor Pinyo Homkaln and sub-district officials opened the July 18 Ban Nong Ket Yai Community Enterprise product workshop, part of a larger project to push various neighborhoods to develop and sell locally made goods.
A large group of people turned out for the event, which showed them not only how to make chili paste, but professionally package it for sale.
The hope is that residents can boost their household incomes by selling locally made products in addition to their main occupation.
