BANGKOK, 6 Aug 2013 Deputy Commerce Minister Nuttawut Saikua yesterday presented awards to 23 outstanding business entrepreneurs at an event organized by the Department of Business Development (DBD) in its effort to enhance business operators’ potential in the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
Mr. Nuttawut stated in his opening speech that the DBD has prepared several measures to assist local business operators to integrate themselves with the AEC’s competitive scene where management and strategies play key role to success.
He proposed the policy of promoting more involvement of a trading association or a private sector that has a vital role in business development.
The Monday seminar was aimed at raising awareness on the AEC among trade associations and encouraging them to take an active role in supporting local business operators in enhancing their potential in business management. It also encouraged the creation of network of trading partners in both domestic and international levels. It also addressed the necessity of adapting into the modern business trend in order to survive in the AEC single market era.
