Sailors and yacht makers converged as the Ocean Marina Boat Show dropped anchor in Pattaya for the fifth time.
Chonburi Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai opened the four-day show at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club Nov. 24.
The show featured vessels from Bakri Cono Shipyard at PMG Marine Complex, Admiral, Sanlorenzo, Azimut Yachts, Beneteau, Cranchi, CNB Yachts, Jeaneau, Lagoon, Monte Carlo Yachts, Prestige, Princess Yachts, Viking Yachts and Wider.
Ocean Property Ltd. Managing Director Teerachai Phipisupol said that since Thai Immigration is now offering longer-stay visas, the number of yachters and holidaymakers are expected to grow.
A yacht club spokesman said the show was a success and future shows are expected to be even bigger.
