BANGKOK, 24 April 2011 – The Association of University Presidents of Thailand revealed that the number of student admissions for higher educational institutions for the year 2011 had exceeded 80,000 applicants. Only around 25% had paid their application fees via mail and indicated that a large number of students had repeated the enrollment process to different faculties.

As for university admissions, AUPT’s priority is to substantiate a ranking system for the applicants in accordance with academic results. The predicted number of enrollment for further education in universities this year is in the 100,000s. The list of those qualified will be revealed on 8 May 2011.

Furthermore, online social communities, including dekdee.com, suggest that a large group of students are currently anxious about their choice of study and indecisive towards their admissions.
