PHNOM PENH, 31 July 2015 – Four Thai entrepreneurs from Pathumthani signed memorandums of understanding with Cambodian counterparts during their participation in the “Pathumthani OTOP Festival to AEC” being held at Paragon Department Store in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, until this weekend.
Cambodian entrepreneurs reportedly showed interest in Thai cosmetics, sauces and seasoning, herbal pesticides and fruit juices. They reached agreements with Thai suppliers on the distributionof these products in Phnom Penh. The signing was witnesses by Governor of Pathumthani Pongsatorn Sajjacholpan and other other high-ranking officials of both sides. The “Pathumthani OTOP Festival to AEC” was officially opened on August 29th.
The provincial Governor said it was a great opportunity for OTOP suppliers of Pathumthani to upgrade their products and enhance their competitiveness in ASEAN market where Thai products received high trust from consumers.
“Bringing local SMEs to Phnom Penh gives them great experience and opens way for them to compete in the markets with more proactive marketing strategy. The festival is also a platform to promote quality goods to the ASEAN market,” said Pongsatorn.
