BANGKOK, 29 June 2013 Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is inviting Thais to the Food & Fruit Festival 2013, being held at IMPACT until July 4.
After presiding over the opening ceremony of the Food & Fruit Festival 2013, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said the government has been placing its emphasis on developing the country’s economy, especially the One Tambon One Product (OTOP), has now become a strong foundation of the Thai economy. Not only OTOP products help uplift the economy, they also create jobs and generate income for local people.
The fair, according to Ms Yingluck, is also considered as a distribution channel for agricultural products, especially during this time of year when fruit prices are low.
Over 460 booths are set up at the fair for visitors to enjoy. The Food & Fruit Festival 2013 will be held until 4th of July at IMPACT.
