BANGKOK, 18 June 2013 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has confirmed that Thailand has political stability and strong relations with the neighboring countries, which will help strengthen the foundation of the Thai economy and contribute to the growth of ASEAN.
At the annual lecture and dinner of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand on Monday, Prime Minister Yingluck said the U.K. and Thailand had been good friends for many decades, dating back to the reign of Queen Victoria. The two countries had recently agreed to hold strategic meetings on promotion of economic growth and employment of Thailand and England, Ms Yingluck said.
The premier assured the BCCT of Thailand’s political stability and good international ties. She said the Thai government was willing to cooperate with the private sector and to continue its support for foreign investment
