BANGKOK, 4 March 2013 PTT Plc has been given a period of 3-4 months by the Ministry of Energy to sort out NGV station shortages across Thailand before the company could raise the price of the gas as it requested earlier.
PTT explained that it is planning to reduce the congestion at 103 of its NGV stations within Bangkok and its vicinities by increasing the frequency of gas delivery to the stations and managing the traffic flow in a more efficient way.
It is said that the energy giant also has a target to increase its NGV service stations to 507 nationwide from the current 448 stations. For Bangkok, the company will install more NGV dispensers at 5 existing stations while opening new stations at the same time.
PTT is expected to spend 23 billion baht on its plan to have NGV stations in every province of Thailand within 2015 and another 39 billion baht on the extension of gas pipes to the North and the Northeast of the country.
