Ranong moves forward to develop region’s agriculture

RANONG, 7 May 2014  – Ranong province is currently preparing to get ready for their 2014-2015 agricultural year.

Ranong Deputy Provincial Governor Supawat Sakda presided over the opening ceremony of a conference that is aimed towards preparing Thai farmers to get ready for their growing season in 2014 to 2015.

Other related agencies that joined in at the venue included the Ranong Livestock Office, the Department of Fisheries, and the Cooperative Auditing Department among many others.

The deputy governor stated that the province gives great importance to the development of agriculture in the region, especially on projects that have been pioneered by His Majesty the King.

In order to prepare for the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) soon to be launched in 2015, Mr. Supawat stated that the province continues to develop its agriculture and integrate the sector into the ecotourism and the export industry in order to fully utilize its natural resources.
