BANGKOK, 29 March 2012 – The Revenue Department has agreed to double the tax deductible ceiling by pension insurance contacts, with immediate effect.
Revenue Department’s Deputy Director-General Jitmanee Suwannapool said that the Department has agreed to allow tax payers to use their pension insurance contacts as tax deduction to the maximum of 200,000 baht.
Previously, the Revenue Department capped the ceiling of tax deduction by pension insurance contacts at 100,000 baht.
According to Mrs. Jitmanee, the new maximum is in effect for the 2011 personal income tax report, which is due by April 2nd at all Revenue Department offices and by April 10th for online report service.
