ROI ET, 28 November 2014 – The Roi Et province is going to hold the World Hom Mali Rice Festival during 30 November – 2 December 2014 to push Roi Et as the trading and manufacturing center of Hom Mali rice.
According to the governor of Roi Et, Somsak Changtrakul, one of the province’s development strategies is to push the province forward as the center of good quality Hom Mali rice manufacturing and trading to the global markets as Hom Mali rice farming is the main occupation in the province.
He said the Hom Mali Rice Festival is being held to celebrate the year of ‘Fascinating Roi Et’ tourism promotions and gain global recognition for the province’s Hom Mali rice products and brands.
The World Hom Mali Rice Festival will be held on 30 November – 2 December 2014. The activities in this event will include several performances, exhibitions, and expositions on the arts and culture of the province and Hom Mali rice farming. The event will also host seminars on the trade of Hom Mali rice products.
The World Hom Mali Rice Festival will be held at Ku Ka Sing, Kaset Wisai district and the Somdet Phra Sinakarin Roi Et Park.
