SEOUL, Nov 12 – South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. said Tuesday that it will cooperate with German software giant SAP to develop mobile solutions for companies.
The two companies plan to provide business-to-business (B2B) services in the retail, petrochemical, finance and health care sectors by developing corporate solutions such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, a type of business management software.
To that end, Samsung and SAP have agreed to set up a joint innovation center, the South Korean company said.
“(Samsung) will meet the demands of customers in the corporate market as a leader of the IT industry,” said Kim Seok-pil, head of Samsung Electronics global B2B center.
Samsung “will build up the best platform with global mobile solution leader SAP,” he added.
Samsung’s announcement was made at SAP TechEd && d-code, the largest SAP tech conferences for developers, engineers and technologists, which was held on Tuesday (Berlin time).
