Members of a South Korean city council escaped the cold winter with a junket to Pattaya to study the city’s management.

Pattaya City Councilman Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn and other staffers greeted Kim Eun Su, chairman of the Suwon City Council, and other board members Feb. 8 at city hall.

The South Koreans said they chose Pattaya as it has a unique legal framework and is a leading center for tourism, trade and culture.

It didn’t hurt that it’s also in warm, sunny Thailand. The average February high temperature in Suwon, about 30 kilometers outside Seoul, is only 5 degrees Celsius.

During their visit, the Suwon delegating talked with Pattaya officials about management and ways the two cities can work together to build a strong relationship.

Moreover, it included conferring, exchanging opinions, learning about operations regarding cooperation which will be more mutual benefit. Subsequently, Pattaya City gave souvenirs and took photos together with admiration and good relationship between both countries.
