BANGKOK, 24 February 2012 – Swedish investors have voiced their confidence in Thailand’s flood prevention plans after exchanging views on post-flood rehabilitation with Thai business entrepreneurs.
The Energy Ministry, the Embassy of Sweden in Thailand, and the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) have together held a seminar for Thai and Swedish entrepreneurs to exchange their ideas.
They discussed integrated water management, disaster risk management, and sustainable development of transportation systems.
After the meeting, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Energy Kurujit Nakornthap said the Swedish have shown more confidence in Thailand and offered greater cooperation in terms of new technologies related to water management.
Meanwhile, the Swedish Ambassador to Thailand, Mr Klas Molin, expressed his belief that the Swedish expertise and technology would help uplift the Thai disaster prevention system.
