BANGKOK, 12 July 2013 Thai Oil Public Company Ltd is set to make an investment of 12 billion baht to build a plant producing lactic acid bacteria (LAB).
eria (LAB). The plant will be built in Chonburi Province with a budget of 12 billion baht. LAB are bacteria usually found in decomposing plants and lactic products. These bacteria can be used to produce cleaning solutions.
The CEO said the project will create employment in the province and help cut down the country’s trade deficit to the tune of 3.5-4 billion baht resulting from the import of the substance, adding that the new plant will create an income of at least 6 billion baht for the country. Besides, the project will enhance the competitiveness of Thailand when ASEAN Economic Community is finally realized.
