BANGKOK, 26 August 2014 – The Industry Ministry is hosting this year’s Thailand Industry Expo at Muang Thong Thani in a bid to boost the local economy.

The expo is expected to generate up to 150 million baht and is aimed at showcasing locally-made SME products. Products and goods at the expo will be sold at discounted prices to help shoulder the rising costs of living.

Over 1,500 exhibitors will participate in the event, which covers over 60,000 square meters at the Challenger Hall in Muang Thong Thani’s IMPACT Arena. Organizers expect to attract around 200,000 visitors to the expo.

The expo is a project in line with the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)’s policy to return happiness to local consumers and to businesses in the country. NCPO deputy chief Prajin Juntong presided over the opening ceremony to express his support for the project.
