BANGKOK, 25 April 2014 – A senior researcher from the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technology Research (TISTR) has explained that the extract lansium demesticum (Longkong) used in the development of cosmetics is an initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhon.
For some time, accessing Longkong products was difficult as it originates mostly in the restive far south of Thailand. TISTR has now largely solved the problem for agriculturists lacking income by extracting its skin properties for use in cosmetics under the brand ‘De Longkong’.
In the first release of the products in May last year, it received positive feedback since it’s inexpensive, effective and natural. TISTR will re-launch the skin products in the Thailand Research Expo 2014 at Centara Grand at Central World on 7-11 August 2014.
