BANGKOK, 13 July 2015, The Transport Co. Ltd. has announced that it is setting aside 3 billion baht in funding for the state enterprise’s various projects.
Vice President of the company Nopparat Karoonyavanich made the announcement, saying that initially the state enterprise is planning to invest 67 million baht to renovate an existing bus terminal in Rangsit. He said the firm would move its office to the construction site until the project’s completion next year.
He said that the project has been approved by the company’s board, adding that another 350 million baht would be spent on another project, the construction of a sub-operation building on Phahonyothin Road. The company estimates that the development of the new bus terminal in Bangkok will begin this month. The state enterprise has assured the public of the transparency of the projects. It said investment details, which include land procurement, the construction of passenger terminals and the operation building, will soon be determined.
In addition, the Transport Company is to build another bus terminal in Rangsit. Its now examining the project’s Terms of Reference and advertising the company’s intention to purchase more than 80 rai of land to the private sector in the Rangsit area.
