The urban planning of all provinces nationwide will be completed within this year and implemented early next year to accommodate trade and investment.
Deputy Interior Minister Sutee Markboon confirmed during a seminar with provincial chambers of commerce in Udon Thani province that a committee has been set up to provide support for economy-spurring businesses and investments at local and provincial levels while the authorities will focus on urban planning and revisions scheduled to be completed by the end of this year and to be implemented sometime early next year.
He added that the regulations regarding urban planning, namely the Town Planning Act and the Building Control Act, have already been amended, which will raise benefits to business, trade and investment sectors.
