BANGKOK, 15 June 2014 – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has allowed Voice TV and T News to resume their normal broadcasts but required them to abide by its previous prohibition on incitement of conflict and objection against the NCPO.
The NCPO on Saturday night issued its 65 announcement on digital and satellite TV broadcasting, allowing Voice TV and T News to be back on air. The council had banned all TV stations, including Voice TV and T News, from broadcasting since 22 May 2014 in a bid to prevent distortion of information.
Now that the situation of information dissemination had improved, Voice TV and T News were allowed to air their normal programs on the condition that they must not incite conflict and objection to the NCPO, the announcement said.
