BANGKOK, 25 Dec 2013 – Deputy Commerce Minister Yanyong Phuangrach has conducted a price inspection on ready-to-eat meals and commodity goods in Mor Chit 2 bus terminal.
The Deputy Commerce Minister found out that vendors have increased prices of single dish meals by 5 baht, with items such as noodles now being priced at 25 – 35 baht. Mr. Yanyong said however the prices are still considered at a normal level as they reflect the current national economic situation.
He added that commodity prices are still stable. Furthermore the Transport Company Limited has offered ready-to-eat meals for its passengers, providing more options for them to choose from.
The Deputy Commerce Minister also said that the ministry has established a complaint center in the terminal for the passengers, encouraging them to report on any unfair trading activities. Mr. Yanyong added reports can also be made at the Department of Internal Trade’s 1569 hotline.
