British couple Paul and Sandra have been running their shelter for sick and abandoned cats and kittens for around 10 years now, starting with just 1 kitten that was dumped outside their house. 10-year-old “Felix” (see photo) never went to a new home and is still the “Big Boss” at their home in East Pattaya.
On average Paul and Sandra re-home 50 cats and kittens every year but of course there are always more calls asking them to take cats than there are calls from people wanting to adopt them. Hopefully this article will reach more people in the Pattaya area who might be willing to find room in their hearts and homes for a new friendly feline.
At the moment there are around 30 cats and kittens available for free adoption. You can see them all on their useful website cats4youinpattaya .webs.com
Paul always say’s why waste your hard earned cash on buying a cat from a shop or market when you can take one from us absolutely free!
All of the bigger cats at the shelter are neutered and vaccinated. Small kittens have to wait until they are 12 weeks old before they can have their jabs, though, and when they are 6 months they too can be neutered.
As the shelter is also their home there is always a limit to the number of cats that they can help. Their most important goal is to find new loving homes for the cats that reside there now in order to make room for new arrivals.
Of course there are some cats that will probably never go to new homes due to their special needs, cats like “Oreo and Precious”, (see photo) two disabled cats that have to wear nappies are assured a forever home with Paul and Sandra.
The shelter is mostly self-funded so any donations of food, cat litter, nappies or any other cat related articles is always greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten please call Paul or Sandra on 0852875004 to arrange an afternoon visit.
