The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is set to host the second annual “Amazing Muay Thai Experience” series, with the aim of showcasing the diverse regional styles of Muay Thai. Scheduled for August and September, the event seeks to boost travel and spread tourism benefits across Thailand by focusing on four distinct Muay Thai traditions.
The series will kick off in Surat Thani from August 2-4, featuring the Muay Chaiya style, known for its unique techniques and training rituals. It will be followed by events showcasing Muay Tha Sao in Uttaradit from August 16-18, Muay Korat in Nakhon Ratchasima from September 6-8, and Muay Lop Buri in Lop Buri from September 13-15, each held at local historical sites.
Attendees can expect dynamic settings with music concerts, local cuisine, and opportunities to learn directly from Muay Thai masters. Through these events, the TAT hopes to deepen visitors’ appreciation of the national martial arts, which is both a crucial part of Thailand’s heritage and a globally recognized cultural phenomenon.
