SONGKHLA – Department stores in many provinces have signaled their readiness to reopen, once the second phase in the process of easing lockdown restrictions takes effect.
Odeon Fashion Mall in Hat Yai district of Songkhla province has begun preparations to welcome shoppers from May 17 onwards. Staff have returned to prepare the store, implementing strict measures against the spread of the viral infection. Employees working at the mall will be subject to health checks and will be making sure that customers wear face masks and frequently wash their hands.
The store is to be sterilized on a daily basis before and after operating hours with all contact points to be disinfected. Visitors will have their temperature taken and be provided with alcohol gel to clean their hands. Those waiting at cashiers will have to observe a mandatory one meter distance between customers, who will also be encouraged to utilize electronic payment facilities.(NNT)
