Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha expressed appreciation toward all sectors, be it, business, public, and people sectors, for taking part in fighting against COVID-19, and for their philanthropy by donating money, medical equipment, and hygienic masks. He stands ready to hold talk with the private sector to draft a collective approach on national rehabilitation.
Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Government Spokesperson, disclosed that the Government would extend an invitation to the private sector to discuss about an approach for economic and social rehabilitation plan. The Prime Minister would like to hear from all sectors, including private sector, civil society, and both coalition and opposition MPs.
The Prime Minister also thanked businesses and companies who have provided financial support, medical equipment, and hygienic masks in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19. He believes that Thailand would eventually get through this crisis with the cooperation of all sectors.
According to the Government Spokesperson, discussion with the business sector will focus on business and economic rehabilitation plan and joint effort to solve related problems in all dimensions to help out the people, e.g., discussion on the layoff issue, etc. A collective approach will be crafted to avoid redundancy of plans, and to ensure coverage of plan on all affected groups of people and targets.
The Government Spokesperson affirmed that the Prime Minister equally welcomed all sectors, large or small, to join forces in resolving COVID-19 related crisis as each sector is crucial to the national rehabilitation process. (Thaigov.go.th)
