Chaimongkol Temple distributed rice and dried food to Pattaya residents struggling under the coronavirus economic shutdown.

Abbot Rachasansophon oversaw the May 19 charity event at the South Pattaya temple, which prepared 1,000 bags of food for hungry, poor and unemployed locals.

Funding for the offerings came from donations, including 200,000 baht from temple patron Somjit Sawangkit.
