More than 10,500 people cast ballots in Nongprue in the first round of voting for Thailand’s general election.
A total 10,589 people registered to vote at Nongprue Kindergarten March 17, the date for those who can’t make it back to their home constituency to vote to cast ballots.
Polls were open until 5 p.m. with many subdistrict staffers and volunteers on hand to assist voters.
Residents questioned said they were looking for a leader possessing the ability to develop Thailand’s economy and manage the country.
