Bangkok, 10 August 2019 – Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati presided over the opening ceremony for Mahidol-Mother Day 2019.
Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati conducted the activities on behalf of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha by visiting Mahidol University in Phutthamonthon district of Nakhon Pathom province.
Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati opened Mahidol-Mother Day 2019, organized by Mahidol University in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother and on occasion of National Mothers’ Day on August 12, 2019. Outstanding mothers have been selected in varied categories. Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati conferred certificates of honor on a total of 14 mothers, including the winners and runners-up in singing contests for four regions. Royal awards were also conferred on eight winners as Four Regions’ Fighting Mother, six winners as 100-Year Mother, four winners as Environment Conserving Mother and six winners as Good, Outstanding Mother.
The event featured an academic exhibition, medical checkups for pregnant women, information on the dangers of unnecessary operations, a dental service, a physical therapy service, an applied Thai massage service, physical exercise and nutrition tips.
