Nernplabwan Pet Hospital donated an old net gun to Nongprue police for capturing criminals more dangerous than wild animals.
Owner and veterinarian Padet Siridamrong presented the weapon to Nongprue deputy chief Pol. Lt. Col. Krit Masuk June 4.
The vet explained that he bought the shotgun – which deploys a large net when shot – about a decade ago for 30,000 baht to confine animals posing a threat to nearby residents. But with the Pattaya area’s developments, it never gets used anymore.
But when he read news of a police officer being cut by a drugged-up addict, he decided to donate the gun to help police apprehend dangerous criminals.
Police tried out the gun to see it in action.
